Serpukhov Apartments: A Contemporary Ring-Shaped Residential Project

This ring-shaped building is a unique architectural project located in Serpukhov, near Moscow. It hovers gently above the water, creating a protected and intimate environment for its residents. Each apartment opens toward the water, while the inner courtyard forms a lush, walkable landscape with pathways, sculptural elements, and quiet spots for relaxation.

The architecture of the complex emphasizes horizontality and lightness, expressed through a slender roofline, full-height glazing, and a structure elevated on stilts. Sustainability is central to the design: a green roof, careful integration with the site’s topography, and preservation of mature trees enhance the sense of living within a park, rather than a city.
