On October 8, the Bloom Arch Studio team met with representatives of Benoy, an international design studio working across architecture, masterplanning, urban design and landscape architecture. The meeting was attended by Angus Palmer, Director of Landscape Architecture at Benoy, and Nina Kolbeck, Associate Director.
The Bloom Arch Studio team presented several completed projects and outlined the key concepts, design ideas and solutions behind them. The presentation introduced Benoy representatives to the studio’s work and its approach to architectural design.
In turn, Benoy representatives shared their professional experience and perspectives on design practice. The participants discussed approaches to architecture, masterplanning and urban development. The meeting provided an opportunity for both teams to discuss their work and exchange views on the design of architectural and urban spaces.
In Uzbekistan, Benoy has worked on several projects in Tashkent. These include the Chirchiq River masterplan, which connects the old and new parts of the city through an ecological corridor; the landscape concept for Tashkent New City, which places green infrastructure and the restoration of tugai forests at the heart of the urban structure; and The Ritz-Carlton, Tashkent, featuring a central park and an urban square. Benoy also developed a proposal for the renovation of the Istiklol Palace of the Arts and a masterplan for a new cultural district around it.
For Bloom Arch Studio, professional dialogue with representatives of the international architectural community provides an opportunity to exchange experience and learn about different design approaches. Bloom Arch Studio thanks the Benoy team for the meeting and the opportunity to exchange professional experience and ideas.
