On 15–16 October 2026, Tashkent hosted GLOBAL FORUM 2026, an international forum titled “Urban Planning, Architecture, Construction and Engineering on the Path to a Green Economy,” which brought together the team of Bloom Arch Studio.
The forum brought together representatives of government bodies, businesses, academia, as well as architects, engineers and construction industry professionals. The two-day programme featured more than 30 speakers, including representatives of Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), UNStudio, IDOM and MYAA, alongside experts from universities in Malaysia, China, the UAE and Kyrgyzstan. The first day took place at the Azimut Grand Hotel Tashkent, while the second was held at Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Key topics included the green economy, sustainable urban planning, the digital transformation of the construction industry, smart city development and improving the quality of the urban environment.
Husniddin Tursunqulov, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Bloom Arch Studio, was among the invited speakers. In his presentation on 15 October, he shared his professional experience, outlined the studio’s approach to architectural design and project delivery, and presented his vision for the future of architecture and urban planning in Uzbekistan.
One of the forum’s key themes was the development of Uzbekistan’s national urban planning school and the creation of an urban planning model that reflects the country’s cultural heritage, climatic conditions and way of life.
Particular attention was given to combining international expertise with local traditions and practices. In this context, the principles of the mahalla were highlighted as an important foundation for creating comfortable, sustainable and people-centred urban environments.
